Willie Tanner in Cologne

Very nice tapas bar. Freshly prepared tapas, now in Corona times with plexiglass partitions between the tables, attentive service, good wine.

The food was really good, the restaurant has adapted to the corona situation very well - "partitions" etc are available, so that you really feel comfortable in the current location. All employees were very friendly! Slightly overpriced, otherwise really great!

The meat dishes are just amazing. The service courteous and friendly.

First restaurant serving Spanish food in Colonia that I really like. I will have been to about 4 or so other Spanish restaurants in Colonia, and although you can eat it, everything is quite normal, Chinese wok buffet roll. But as I say here pretty good. We ordered leek croquettes, cheeks, padrón peppers, anchovies, a kind of blood sausage and goat cheese. A pity that the cod and cuttlefish croquettes had run out, only the leek croquettes remained, and they were quite good, the besamel very creamy. The cheek very top too! The prices are cheap but the portions are small ... that is, in the end if you want to leave full you pay it ... it is quite normal in these parts. Although I have to say that I ordered a couple of premium gintos afterwards and super well priced. Also, the first time they serve it to me without saying anything in a balloon glass :) As a curiosity, the waiter told us that the bar is named after Alf's father (Alf! Do you remember Alf ?! He's back! In the form of a badge!) But that only, and he emphasized only, because of the character, and not because of the actor in real life, who was once a good piece.

The Willie Tanner is wonderful in many ways and unique in the gastronomy in trinkets: young, very friendly service, great interior, good wines. However, word has got around now. I am of course happy for the owners (especially in Corona times). The slightly overpriced dishes in a pleasant atmosphere were accepted beforehand, because of the great atmosphere, but now it is already so jam-packed at 6 p.m. that you wait forever for the food to arrive (sometimes dishes are forgotten). If you are very hungry, you will have a problem, as you will not really be satisfied with the small bites. It's a shame, I hope the big hype will eventually subside. Then maybe I'll come again.

The food was delicious, but unfortunately a bit disappointed The restaurant was described as a pintxo restaurant on WDR. That's why we drove there especially from Düsseldorf. But there were more Spanish delicacies (which were really delicious) and hardly any pintxos. Pity! The service was nice, but overwhelmed because two people were far too few!

Nice place to sit. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Nice place to sit outside. The red wine is of good quality. The food is perfect for later in the evening in addition to a drink.

The concept of the Willie Tanner is exactly to my taste: delicious and special (ctaft) beers that change from time to time, plus small delicious, tapas-inspired and unusual dishes that are prepared with love. If you are very hungry, you should order two dishes. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the good quality, and the friendliness of the employees and operators is one more reason to go there more often. Since the shop in the quarter is very popular, you have to reckon with the fact that you can't find a place on the weekend, but in Corona times you call and make reservations anyway.

The service was friendly and very attentive. Tapas are offered. The food came quickly and the quality of the food was good. Slightly higher in price.

Very pleasant atmosphere despite Corona requirements. Great tapas that are of high quality and also something for the eye. However, to be settled in the higher price segment. Well worth a visit for tapas lovers!

The small dishes were really delicious. Everything prepared with love. You also noticed that you had to reserve a place to eat there. It was really busy. The conditions were very quick and accommodating. Would love to come back.

A very cozy and nice place to have dinner and drinks. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. And the food. Well, it's amazing. It's love, divided in small plates. The pintxos are made with much appreciation for detail and taste. They take you on a journey to Spain and the drinks take you back to Cologne. It's a great experience and I would recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Update: 1 year after the first recession ..... Still very, very good. Thank you for another nice evening with you !!! Very, very delicious !! Staff well trained, fast and super friendly! Unfortunately, bread went out and some food was from 21.00 o'clock not more - but this is not negative, but shows that really everything is freshly prepared. Keep it up, thanks for a great evening!

Tasty tapas restaurant but expansive. Try the pale ale.

If there's no restaurant like Willie Tanner in heaven, then I'll start to sin right away.

Disappointing tapas. All of it pretty alright but not a single one of the eight tapas we had was genuinely exciting. In fact all of it was distinctly underseasoned. Finally, this was way too pricy for what it was.

Super delicious Tappas with a great atmosphere and great waitresses !!!

Food was ok. Average value for money. Pale ale from cask is nice. Contra: It was very loud. The room has a high ceiling, but there is hardly any damping against the sound.
